The children in your life should be learning financial literacy. April is Financial Literacy & Teach Your Children to Save month. First Citizens is raising awareness of the tools available for children to learn financial responsibility in a FUN way! Below are tools children (and adults) can use to increase their financial knowledge.

First Citizens Power Saver account
A First Citizens Power Saver account is for those 14-years of age and younger. This account gives children access to age appropriate personal savings trackers. These two trackers offer a place for kids to keep track of their saving and spending, make calculations, and set goals all in one place. The SUPER SAVINGS TRACKER is for children ages 5 - 8 and the MY MONEY LOG is for children ages 8 - 12. Ask a personal banker or teller for one and they'd be happy to get it for the child in your life.

It's a Contest for Kids!

We're having a contest just for kids! Those 14 and younger can get an entry sheet from any First Citizens or can print one from this link. Then, all they need to do is draw/color a picture of what THEY would do with their saving power... what would their goal to save be? A new bike, college, a special toy or shirt? Whatever it is, they can draw a picture of themselves with it and, with an adult's signed permission, enter it in our contest. One drawing will be chosen to be printed as the April picture in our 2022 Snapshots Calendar! The winner will also receive a $30 MasterCard Gift Card. Drawings must be returned to First Citizens by May 31, 2021.
