For the past 23 years, First Citizens Power Saver Club has donated over 4,450 books to local schools, libraries, and daycare centers as part of its “Check It Out” book program. The program is designed to encourage children ages 14 and under to read.
A few new books are chosen each fall, with reading levels from preschool to grade school. This year’s donated books were: Pete’s Grand Plan by Kim Riley-Quinn; Florence the Cheerful Frog by Rachel & Kamden Smith; and The Jamie Drake Equation by Christopher Edge.
The Power Saver Club at First Citizens Bank is the complete banking program for children ages 14 and under and teaches the importance of saving. It features a savings account (with a $5 minimum opening deposit), special drawings, and exclusive activities throughout the year. A parent, grandparent, guardian, aunt, or uncle can open an account for a child by stopping in any First Citizens location. Click here for more details about the Power Saver Club.
